Flood: The flood plains portrayed on this website represent the approximate boundaries of the floodway and flood fringe shown within the Federal Emergency Management Agency National Flood Insurance Program Q3 Flood Data digital maps. The graphics were developed by custom fitting flood plain boundaries, one watershed at a time, to stream centerlines delineated on GPS controlled mapping, which had accuracies of plus or minus 12 feet. Although this graphical depiction may be useful for highlighting proximity to potential flooding, it cannot be used to assess the necessity for flood insurance or the certainty that a parcel or building lies within the floodway or flood fringe.
